Mozzies all gone now i hope. Just come back fom handing in CV for an officy type job for around £7 ph. Get some xperience and then look for good job if i like it! Dragged jul in, and the lady was under the impression that he just wanter royal mail work and there was none, but is now broadening the looking. Probably to lettuce picking as jul didn’t specify anything!!! also signed him back on with another agency, so two on the go. No nursery this week, and a half day at davisons – that should be interesting as i have no transport. hope it’s not too far from the station.
London was good, and this weekend up north should be fun. Have booked train to go come back on wed. Hope the morons can keep themselves from burning the place down until then! I left a concise and comprehansive list for them to do over the weekend, and it does not appear to have been adheared to! Liv claims he has done the toilet, but not so sure myself. The lawn had eventually been mown, but as for the washing i left by the door, that has just been trodden into the floor. Cor blimey i say!! Saw some of my pupils in chi today – teaching is definately not for me!
Had my typing speed tested at this new agency, and i do 27 words per minute! have to brush up on that.
well, hope all is well in seychelles. did you get the list of the things mamie wamter? thyme form the market, and casual dresses from her wardrobe to wear round the house. also she said to go to La Point and get some puzzle fruit. Jul asked to have the time of and they basically said no, so either quitting of a sicky is the only option.

mozzies

haven’t looked any further into broadband, but I’m pretty sure that we can get some sort of always on connection. probably not extremely fast but still a lot better than 28,8!

i’ll check it out a bit further when i get the chance. pretty busy here. going to the client site on thurday to do an installation. an installation of software that i’ve written! 😮 oh dear.

how close it the water collector to the house? perhaps an alternative one could be built further away…

Achingly slow

Web access here on Praslin is limited. In a hut across the road from here is a goon charging a ridiculous sum for nothing. When I made the mistake of going there, the computer I was allocated had two downloads going on at the same time. I scarpered quickly, but he still demanded his blunt. “Here” is the Post Office, with its familiar 28 modem.

Liv, have you looked into broadband yet? I’m thinking of quitting NTL, using 18866 and others for phone calls, and having ‘always on’. Is this possible in Barnham?

We’ve discovered the severe mosquito problem at Mamie’s may be a by product of her rain water catchment tank, which she swears by for washing clothes. Mama and I had an exchange of words before I was allowed to pull the bung out and watch all the larvae drain away. I’m sure there are fewer mossies already!

aloha!
hot here, and the garden looking parched however much watering i do – mind numbing job by the way. No matter how much water goes on the earth still looks dry! Liv has used the excuse of having a job for getting out of all his chores it would seem. Jul on the other hand has no excuse whatsoever for his lounging attitude! The chickens rarely get their morning feet before 12! other than that alls well. Big brother and a film the staple diet of an evening at gainsford, with much laughter at the incredible goitishness of the inmates.

I’ve seen enough england flags on cars and windows to last me a couple of lifetimes – something to do with football!?? well, of to london tomorrow for the bridesmaid dress trying on session! much fun, though it’s in kingston, and i have no clue where that is!

Sticky nights

n’ Bob continues to gain rave reviews, but on the voting front, it’s even-stevens. Vote!

I have to to say, it may be hot down there in Seychelles, but it’s pretty darn hot here too. My return trips from work are pretty fetted even with the windows and sunroof open. Nights are pretty sticky too.

Fingers crossed for England, though they shouldn’t need it, Switzerland not beign the greatest team in the world…
