hail all,
yes i know it won’t let you in as they locked me out and have changed the pass number or whatever it’s called . those are all the new details! cor blimey i say!
we are in punakaiki at the mo having a gander at the pankack rocks – most interestinh, and though the blo whole in the rocks was on strike, it was interesting to see non the less. the skies are not exactly blue, but it’s nice and warm so nice to walk along the beach. the beaches here are not asd nice as te ones up north, but they are still good for walks. not long left now, and we have had to plan a timed rout round the rest of the island, we are going to do a weeks wwoofing at a farm with horses!!!! in barrytown. hopefully it will work out. we have enough money to see us round without working thank goodness as the only jobs available are cruddy, and you earn such a pittence that we might as well wwoof, save money and hopefull have a good time as well! Not much reception on the mobile around here so that’s why no texts. i will send a text with the phone number of where we are staying if you need it – hopefull i will be able to use their phone and you could phone on mama’s birthday – i’ll let you know. we saw the england v samoa game, abd quite frankly, samoa should have won i say! oh well, it will be most satifying to squelch wales!!!
geoff is planning a few more walks, and stops the car at every possible strolling spot -oh well, good foir one i suppose, and the scenery round ehre is great. oh yes,the whole point of this mail was to tell you how festering the sandflies are around here. the guide book makes them sound like a small anoyence that is easily forgottewn as they only bite round the ankle. admittedly they do bite round the ankle, buthey bite every where else as well, leaving nasty red blobs that itch for days after – insanelly so that you HAVE to itch them. they are every where, and even the rain doesn’t deter them for long. after a quick look at the scenery ata stop we them dive back into good old gertie and cower int the seats, the windows open just a crack to let some healing air in. we wantch the cblack cloud of the pests buzzing round the window until well after dark when they do leg it, allowing us to open the windown for some much neared breathing. they are back before you know it at the crack of dawn, and if you don’t have your whits about you, and shut the windows quick smart, then you are covered with black bitter, and the car is full of them. in cases like this, i give geof a good battering for not chutting the windows, and then go around squirting masses of citronella at them!@!! much fun i can tell you!
geoff’s head is still asource of much a musment, though his hair is growing back fast. mine is rather long and plush though i say so myself!!! blonding up nicely in the sun!well, just remember those are the new detailes that i gave you, and there should be a letter in the post telling you the new number. the bit of my details i forgot was the date. not exactly forgot, but didn’t realise it was 1999, and not just 99!!!!!!! goeff has no idea what his date is as they have just changed the log in system (didn’t need the date before )!!!! got that?? not sure how much money i do have, but would be most obliged if you would plop a few hundred inand help yourself from mine at a later date as we are now using the funds from my account having already used all geoffs!!! i was hoping we wouldn’t have to use mine at all!!! hihihihi!

cheers

I forgot to say thanks very much for the birthday prezzie – the green mag lite. II t hasd proved most useful and the postman in Poste Restante recalled the package well when i went into Auckland Post office to collect it!!!
No seriously, thanks very much!

I now look like a contender for ‘England’s most wanted football hooligans’ with my new look. I just need a couple of tattoos on my arms to complete the picture!

nice matching t-shirt and shorts Dod. Tan seems at present to be afflicted with the same mismatch problem!

So far the apis seems to be working very well. Good suggestion Michelle!

love Geoff

hailall,

most pleased the skirt is being worn mama, looks good. looks like you’ve got another cough liv!!!! Jul’s hair appears to be evn longer. you might have to cut it for the anual trip to the south of france for the cistomary wedding!!! Geoff has gone for the short or no look himself, and finds it most rafreshing if a little chilly in the evenings. he is most annoyed at not beiong able to see any of the matches on account of them being at about three in the morn ans such cretinopus times.
we are back in nelson and have just collected mamas letter from the good old post office, cheers muchly for all the news of the homestead. don’t send any more here, and i hope granny hasn’t as we are leaving on the tonight never to reture. the next port of call with significant postal services will be greymouth. i’ll be expecting a sisable wod once we make it down there!!!

Had an epic ride over green hills and white streches of sand!!! galloping galore and much good scenery. there were three of us, us two and a guide and there was also a small mini horse with us coming along for the exercise. he loved it tossing his head in the wind and galopping along beside the otherb horses. a most rafreshing ride and i would recommend it to anyone. Geoff stayed on admirably. there was one hairy moment as we pounded down the beach, our guides hair rlying in the wind (we both wore helmets you will be please to hear, though the temptation to hav ethebreeze in my hair was almost irresistable!!!!) geoffs horses did a quick swerve to avoide the small horse (piwi) who was capering around infront of him, ans goef nearly got left behind. luckily he stayed on and had a great time. he likes the fast pace, and finds the walking a little tediouse!! i like all of it, and can’t understand how you’ve avoided those all dayers for so long dod?!!

Glad to see that the good old bath is being protected, though something needs to be done about the shower. bigger and more room is needed. a cubicle i say!

Just heard that ed and nikki did a 1300 mike journey (peth – coast n back) in 4 days!! cor blimey, we like to take it a little easier than that, chilling by the side of the road until we smell and then heading for a campsite for a good wash of self and clothes!

well, better get on and write the general mail. if granny has send something and i havn’t got it, just pas it along the line that i did and am most gratefull would you?
cheers
Love Tanya

Glad to see that the purchases in bangkok are being used!!! Wot price the pale blue top dod?

Hi, i forgot to mantion the wine tasting!!!
we did a sopt in napier. there are loads of vinyards, and we headed into one trying to look like pros, and goeff started in sniffing and postulating on oaked and body and wot not!!!! somehow this pretence of knowledge led to parting with a wod of cash for a few bot of the best!!!!! Oh well, we’ll probably never go there again so a once in a life thing! I chose a bright pink ros which i shall endevour to get home without smashing it!!!
Love T
