Slightly & Pliskin: I propose that we convene for the watching of the final. As I see it, the options are: Gainsford, Kestrel Court, The Globe or The Barnham Bridge Inn (or whatever it is called).
Any preferences? Obviously, as it doesn’t require me to move more than a couple of paces, i’d vote for Gainsford.

i’m not sure anyone can claim to have named crud, the name pretty much evolved. Though I’m fairly sure that the first occurrence would have been uttered by myself or solid, something along the lines of “… some sort of crud tennis!” actually the more i think of it, the more i remember that it was me!
went to see episode 3 last night with solid and slightly. Not a bad film – a large improvement on the previous two – but still a little too contrived i feel. Chewie, R2-D2 and C3-P0 all appearing continuously and seemingly having close relationships with many of the main characters!
we were also treated to some amateur theatrics and a trio of two darth vaders and one darth maul battled it out in front of us before the showing! terribly tacky but funny.
outrageous slander! My game is beautifully blended with sensible proportions of net and baseline play. More heavily slanted to the baseline if anything!
Just because pliskin has tended towards solid-style play shouldn’t cause such massive rule changes.
People will begin to mistake you for ecclestone and crud for formula one – what with the endless rule changes.
