The best way to ‘reframe’ the hellishness of any flight is to consider the alternatives, such as Blackmore and his fellows endured, on their extended sea voyage into the unknown.Strange about the phone. it seems my phone does not work so i wont be texting till i get a new phone. bit disappointing.
just got to my hostel in northern tokyo, seems ok so far. everyone seems jolly friendly. not sure how long i will stay in tokyo before heading onwards to yokohama.
flight was mildly hellish. not much sleep to be had so i am feeling a tad shattered.

Les Arcs had some great pistes and the conditions were pretty good all week. One good dump of snow and then sunny for the rest of the time. The week was only marred by me stacking it off a jump at the board park and badly bruising my ribs, causing me to miss out on a day and a half’s skiing:-(
