Looking out of the kitchen window, I spotted this creature stretched out on a branch basking in the rays of the sun. After we had all examined him – or her – at close quarters, he – or she – slid away in an upwards direction, disappearing from view in the top of a tree.

forgot to mention that while we where in france, Alexandre played a whole load of quality tunes on the piano: the theme from princess mononoke and several epics from FFVII! Needless to say, everyone was amazed at my musical knowledge in recognising them…

This is an aquaduct.

It can be traversed by those on bicycles or by foot. However, there are no railings and the drop is sheer and very high.

I preferred to walk over this one.
