700 of the best should see me through until i can work out the compicated code numbers i wrote down!!!
We are just heading of to do a spot of phoning. There are many cars a round, and we were speaking to a bloke and he said his friend got one in an afternoon so we might have one by tonight – we’ll see! Most of them are toyota townace’s and look quite foul. Tin boxes with no nice friendly expressions like the Vw. Oh well, well see what we acn find.

Got the nletters from the PO. Most aoppreciated. Dod’s long an dinformative one must have got lost in the post! I will try andphone granny i think, but say thanks for hers amd it was nice to all the news. I could picture it all as if i was there. we4ll, i have my poncho on, and no one is going to lose me as i stick out like a sore thumb – hey hum. off to plow through the rain to a phone booth.

Auckland is ok, but a little on the shabby side after the glossy and sparkling sydney!
Jul – ACb’s is fine. What is your kick against it. A bit of a tourist factory, but it is clean, you get a top sheet, you don’t have to get your kitchen utensils from reception, leaving them with a hefty deposit, and the kitchen is spotless!?! The only gripe i have is the blasted showers are those that you have to keep pressing the button for the water to come on, like you get in swimming pool!!!!

Liv – a cutrse on you i say!

wetsuits

Well, i’m glad that you both authorise repeated urinating in to your wetsuits. I shall endevour to satify these requests.

Still can’t think of any dvds… but if you see “A life less ordinary” (with cameron diaz and ewan mcgregor) feel free to grab it.

Stilts

So that’s where they went!

No matter. I can fashion new stilts. On the other hand, looking at the shattered carcass of the Durham Double, I may just use it to make another gate, and place an order with Argos. They deliver for free, and will take it away again for free, if we don’t like it, within 16 days!

Talking of funds, you’d better keep an eye on yours to see if they will last you out. I’ve got no access to your accounts anymore and remember it takes 5 days to replenish.

Apparently:

Nusa Lembongan is situated 12 miles south east of Bali. It is one hour traveling time by boat from Benoa Harbour. This pear shaped island is around 4km long and 2km wide. It is surrounded by a beautiful fringing reef, which hosts a myriad of marine life, The waters are renowned for their abundance of life and great surf breaks. The reef has been declared a marine park by the Indonesian authorities. Not only does the reef support its own Eco-system, but it supports most of the villagers on the island as well. The local people farm seaweed. This seaweed is cultivated, harvested then exported all over the world for use in cosmetics, food stabilizers and medicines. Other sources of income include traditional wooden boat building, farming peanuts, sweet potato, and fishing.Village life is very slow and enchanting. Very few cars and motorbikes are seen on the roads. The people are steeped in tradition, and one could imagine Bali being like this island, thirty years ago.

Although the island is small there are many things to do. Fishing, diving, surfing, mangrove exploring, discovering natural fresh water springs, underground cave house exploring, cycling around the island. A visit to the bat caves on a nearby island, or a picnic at dream beach. Try catching mud cabs in the mangrove area at the back of the island. There is something for every one at Nusa Lembongan.

hail.

dod: i believe that the original stilts for the durham double at present make up most of the front gate. as to no new bed, i am content if the capital equel to the price of livs bed is delivered to me in gold bullion as i like to keep my funds liquid.

just heard via text that the tale has taken a sudden twist. this was not to my liking as i am composing a section in a note book as i don’t have easy e-mail access. well i shall read it and no doubt i can mold mine to fit.

expect another sack full of dvds when i arrive back, any orders?

i didn’t do sandbording in opanoni, but some other place. opanoni i really nice place to go tan, but stock up on food as there isn’t much there. and it has no atm.

in lovina and shortly about to leave. it is quite nice the hostel is very good, and the water loverly, but the beach is foul. a thin stretch of grubby sand with hordes of hawkers who charge at you like a plague of locusts. damn them all to hell i say. we will go to nusa lambongang i believe. it had better be good as bali seems a bit of a crappy place to holiday. am enjoying myself a . a lot though.

liv: yes you can use my wetsuit. but instruct the user to drink no liquids and to go to the toilet before hand on pain of death. it is in my top draw i believe. mama should know.

finnished gai-jin!!! epic but not quite as good as the other clavels. in a fit of classic insanity i purchased another book. an umberto eco one. somthing pendulum. looked good.

well three weeks and i will be back in blighty, hope it stayes hot.

julio

dod did you say that you renewed my insurance till the 3rd? i am heading to singapore on that date but i have to stay there till the 5th as there is no connecting flight. i am sure nothing will happen in those two days(he said with a sense of impending doom.)

Hi,

DVD’S for b’day, but can be giveb early if watching material is needed!

I think granny’s shirt was from vietnam. Glad she is wearingit.

With the cofee, apparently you can freeze it and it keep fresh as apposed to going stale! Actually from laos and caried for many a mile! Hope you like it.

The skirts, if i remember rightly were pettycoats from india which klots of people used as skirts. They served me well but i didn’t think i would need them here. Mama should wear them. They are most comfy, and had a draw string to fit round any waste!

In auckland at kiwi backpackers which is a dump so are going to try jkul’s pet hate the acb tomorrow!

as for my wet suit, it had better be disinfected and cleansed, and no one is allowed to wee in it no matter how tempting!

I think it is in my hanging cubord on the rail near the back as far as i remember, or else on the litle shelf at the top. Good luck on geting in there, and try not to spick yourdelf on the corner of the dressing table!

Cheers
T

PS are looking for cars as we speak – sorting through the dross at the mo.

surfing

hail chappies, I’m off for a happy session of surfing in Newquay with a few friends. Can I borrow your wetsuits? (jul and Tan) I shall ensure that they are fully washed and cleansed afterward! If so, where are they? I had a brief look in aticipation of the ok, to no avail.

The new 24 dvd came out on monday:-) I shall be ordering it soonest – though apparantly the ending is disapointing.
