Pool

Well, we’re back, having had a great time. I really miss the early morning and late evening dips in the pool though not so much the sustained, unremitting heat blasting down from dawn to dusk. England appear to be winning the cricket, which is extraordinary.

yo.

alls well here. though i suspect we all have heat stroke 🙂

dod says the chicken food is in the pantry.

the other day i discovered harvest moon was missing from my case. con you explain why you stole it. cant find the question mark.

any way see you anon.

back to work

got back home just before one yesterday. Had a great few days. Boiling hot, too much sun, and strange insect bites, but the pool was great and the wedding was good fun all round.

The french beat the english 10 – 8 in the waterpolo, but they had the unfair advantage of having marc (about 7ft high!) in goal whereas we had tan (who did a commendable job, leaping at the nack of any oncoming attacking players!)

watered the tomatoes and seedlings when i got back, and found the chickens had no food – they were starving. Some halfwit had put a hollowed tin can in the feed dispenser and the grain couldn’t get over it. i removed the can but it probably required more grain – where is it located?

the pda arrived. pretty neat, but can’t write very fast yet…

Well it’s been a while since I last blogged. What have I been up to? Not a lot, apart from making the world a safer place, drinking far too much at a friend’s wedding, and making many a foray down to the solid, decoy, howling banshee abode…

Off to France for Bab’s wedding this afternoon, and to teach Les Francais comment jouer au foot.

france

off to france for babs’ wedding soon. m, n, t, j and g are going wednesday afternoon then I follow with l and m on early thursday morning. Should be fun.

Pliskin and I are thinking of doing some kitesurfing when we get back from france. Mighty expensive, but should be excellent:-)

Back home

Well, we got back last night, after a long and tedious flight, incorporating a crappy meal and two films I won’t be buying on DVD. We were glad to find Liv waiting for us with his trusty carriage to whisk us home. Seychelles was fun, and it’s a mite chilly here by comparison, but it’s good to be back. The garden looks happy and it’s sheer bliss not to have to slide into a bedful of sand in an oily body. Also the relative peace of a dogfree night is delightful. I do miss the swimming, though.
